Village of Cuteness

Finally got my project done from a class I took at convention back in July. Isn't it cute? A little bit of 'scrap' 2x4 and some paper and embellishments. Wouldn't these little houses look cute all decorated up for Halloween, Fall, or Christmas?

Daisies With a Twist

laura64-12x12-twisted-daisi
I just love this page. It is so bright and colorful. I created this for one of my swaps for convention. Hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. I started with a Daffodil Delight background. The photo mat is Pear Pizzaz with a punched border of Tempting Turquoise. The Lattice Die makes a great background for my favorite flowers. I made these from the Daisy#2 die. Aren't they cute?! And they are so easy! Just take a skewer or your paper piercer tool (I call it the pokey tool) and place it on the tip of the daisy petal, hold it on there and just give it a twist. Be gentle so you don't tear the paper. I do this to all three layers and then glue it together. On these I used the Boho Blossom punch for the center. Just love em! I'll show you another project later that I did with them. Enjoy!

Supplies: Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Pear Pizzaz cardstock; Tempting Turquoise ink
Accessories:Basic Pearls, Daisies #2  and Lattice die; Boho Blossom, Decorative Label, and Lace Ribbon Border punches
Stamps: Broadsheet Alphabet

Easy Events Cupcake 8x8 Double Layout

laura64-8x8-doubleLayout-cu
This is an 8x8 double layout that I did for a swap. Aren’t the cupcakes just too cute?! I inked the cupcake stamp from the Easy Events set with a Concord Crush marker and let it dry. Then I colored the bottom with Melon Mambo, the icing with Wisteria Wonder, and water colored underneath with a little of the Wisteria Wonder. After the ink was dry I painted the tops with a little bit of the Shimmer Paint to make it shine. You can’t tell but the lines under the cupcake are to cover up my over-inking the stamp, had to hide the shadow lines somehow and that worked perfectly. Sorry about the wonkiness of the picture. I have to figure out a better way of photographing my layouts!

Supplies: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder cardstock; Melon  Mambo, Wisteria Wonder ink; Concord Crush Marker,Shimmer Paint
Accessories:Concord Crush 1/2” Stitched-Poly Ribbon
Stamps:Easy Events, Bring on the Cake, Raining Flowers, Wonderfully Worn
